Richard Peebles (born 1956), stage name Rikki, is a Scottish singer who has written songs for the band, Middle of the Road.[1] Peebles's song Only the Light won the BBC's A Song for Europe contest in 1987. That same year the song placed 13th out of 22 entries at the Eurovision Song Contest.[2] Articles in RadioTimes and the DailyRecord called it one of the worst UK performances in the history of the contest.[3][4]
