Richard Kennar (born 10 December 1994) is a Samoan professional rugby league footballer who currently plays for the Melbourne Storm in the National Rugby League. He plays at centre and wing.
Background
Born in Apia, Samoa, Kennar moved to Melbourne, Australia at a young age and played his junior rugby league for the Northern Thunder, before being signed by the Melbourne Storm.
Playing career
Early career
In October 2011, Kennar played for the Australian Schoolboys while attending Craigieburn Secondary College.[3][4] From 2012 to 2014, he played for the Melbourne Storm's NYC team,[5] before moving on to the Storm's Queensland Cup team, Eastern Suburbs Tigers in 2015.[6]
2015
In Round 13 of the 2015 NRL season, Kennar made his NRL debut for the Storm against the Penrith Panthers.[7] He is contracted to the Storm until the end of 2015.[8]
