Rio do Rasto Formation

The Rio do Rasto Formation is a sedimentary rock formation found in the states of southern Brazil. The official name is Rio do Rasto, although in some publications it appears as Rio do Rastro.

It is found mainly in the states of Santa Catarina, Paraná and Rio Grande do Sul (geopark of Paleorrota). It was formed in the Upper Permian age.[1][2]
