Rob DeMello

Rob DeMello is a sports director for KHON2-TV, the Honolulu Fox affiliate.[1] DeMello also reports and anchors weekly for KHON2, as well as produce fellow KHON2 sports anchor Kanoa Leahey's show, the Leahey and Leahey Show.

Prior to being hired at KHON2, DeMello worked at KITV, Hawaii's ABC affiliate, from 2002 to 2009 as a producer, reporter, and anchor. From 2007 to 2009, he was the sports director at KUMU, Hawaii's Sporting News Radio affiliate, where he produced Leahey and Leahey Live and co-hosted the Rob and Russ Show with Russell Yamanoha.

In 2010, he joined KHON2 as a weekend sports anchor, and two years later he was promoted to sports director.

DeMello attended Kailua High School. In his sophomore year, Neil Everett at KGMB offered him an internship. He worked under Everett until he graduated from high school. He later attended Hawaii Pacific University.
