Rob Goraieb
Rob Goraieb (born Robert Dale Ward, August 9, 1968, Los Angeles, California, United States) is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist.
Biography
Rob Goraieb formed Kosmos Express, exclusively signed to Zomba Music Group record labels, and was also the leader of The Get Set on the renowned, Crank! A Record Company label.
In 2003, Goraieb released a solo record, Apartment 305 (B/R/M Records and Not Lame Recordings). Produced by notable producer/songwriter/musician, Rob Laufer (Fiona Apple, Johnny Cash, Melissa Ferrick, Frank Black), guests on the record include bassist Dan Schwartz (Sheryl Crow, Susanna Hoffs, Jon Hassell, Brian Eno) and drummer Mark Powell. Apartment 305 featured the songs “Soho (I Can Make It So)” and “Get It Right.”
Goraieb got his start with Gleaming Spires, the band for the legendary eccentric duo, Sparks, performing on Gleaming Spires' record, Funk For Children (released on the Posh Boy Records/Vodka Label). Gleaming Spires is best known for their hit song, “Are You Ready for the Sex Girls?”
He was also a founding member of Clash of Symbols. A hard rock band with catchy pop melodies, similar to Weezer, Clash of Symbols enjoyed wide popularity with their hit song, “Free,” and energetic live performance. Goraieb co-wrote two acclaimed records, the E.P. Sunday Is An Altogether Different Proposition (IceHouse Records/Tone Box Records) and the full-length CD Begging At The Temple Gate Called Beautiful (Brainstorm Artists International/Tone Box Records), featuring Mike Stand of the pioneer punk band, Altar Boys.
Rob Goraieb also recorded/toured with King Holiday (Mike Knott/Elektra Records) and Just Plain Big (Double Deuce/Caroline Records).
A versatile musician, Goraieb is now focused on writing for TV/film (signed with agent 5 Alarm Music/Rescue Records), though he does work occasionally with other music artists and outside projects.
In 2011, Rob Goraieb released the much-anticipated CD single "Underground" which received rave reviews.

Trivia
- Goraieb's first performances were in a convalescent hospital singing Beatles songs to senior citizens.
- His father played Beatles drummer Ringo Starr in the hit Broadway show Beatlemania. He was also a founding member of the R&B group Future Flight (EMI/Capitol Records), known for their single “Hipnotic Lady," he worked alongside Lamont Dozier.
