Rob Herring (born 27 April 1990) in Cape Town, South Africa) is an Irish rugby union player for Ulster in the Pro 12 and Heineken Cup. He plays as a Hooker. Herring born in South Africa, hales from one of South Africa's oldest and well known schools, South African College Schools (SACS) and also qualifies to play for Ireland.[2]
In January 2014, Herring was included in the provisional 44 man Ireland squad for the 2014 Six Nations Championship.[3][4] Herring made his debut for Ireland in June 2014 coming off the bench in a tour match against Argentina.
