Rob Kidd
Rob Kidd is the house pseudonym used by Disney Press for prose prequels to the Pirates of the Caribbean Disney films. Thirteen Pirates of the Caribbean: Jack Sparrow books were published from 2006 to 2009, and several Pirates of the Caribbean: Legends of the Brethren Court books have been published from 2008. They are set thirteen years before Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003), the first film in the series.
As of May 2015 the Internet Speculative Fiction Database catalogues twelve books as Jack Sparrow titles, of which it credits Liz Braswell as the writer of five and notes the others "unknown". It catalogues four Brethren Court stories, all published 2008 and 2009 and all credited to Tui T. Sutherland as writer. (Both Braswell and Sutherland are also credited as users of other pseudonyms as well as their own names.)[1]
