Robert Adams Paterson

Robert Adams Paterson (c. 1829 – 1904) was the inventor of the gutta-percha golf ball (or guttie) in 1848.[1][2]

Paterson was born in Scotland and died in Bloomfield, New York. He was a president of the New York State Ladies' College of Binghamton.[1]
