Rodrigo Semprún Bernal (born November 22, 1985) is a Spanish businessman, philanthropist and polo player with a 7 goal handicap.
Early life
Semprún was born in Alcobendas, Madrid, Spain. He raised between Spain and Mexico City. He is the only child of the Spanish diplomat Ricardo Semprún and Mexican nutritionist Greta Bernal.
Rodrigo is the grandson of Jorge Semprún author, screenwriter, and former Minister of Culture for Spain. Great-son of the Spanish diplomat José María Semprún Gurrea and great-great-grandson of Antonio Maura, Prime Minister of Spain on five separate occasions.
Education
In 2011, Semprún graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a Master in Finance from ESADE Business School.
Semprún is a certified Private pilot. At age 23, he earned a Private pilot license after receiving flight training at Encore Flight Academy, located at Van Nuys Airport.
He speaks four languages fluently. (Spanish, English, Italian, German).
Polo
His passion for horses began at an early age, his family owns a horse farm, located in Spain.
Rodrigo started playing Polo at age 20. He was inspired to play and get involved for charitable tournaments.
He is a 7 goal Polo Player and member of the USPA.[1]
