Major General Roger Anthony Powell AM (born 23 June 1949) is a retired senior officer of the Australian Army. His last post was to serve as Deputy Force Commander of the United Nations Transitional Administration in East Timor.[1][2]

Prior to that position he served Commander of Training Command – Army, and as Director General of Land Development for the Australian Defence Headquarters. In addition, Powell served as Commander of the 6th Brigade from 1993 to 1995.[1]
