Rohit Khandelwal (born 19 August 1989) is an Indian model, actor, television personality and the winner of Mr India 2015 contest.[3][4][5]
Early life and Career
Rohit was born in Hyderabad on 26 August 1989. He graduated from Aurora Degree College. He served as ground staff for SpiceJet and technical support assistant at the Dell Computers prior to entering the modelling industry.[2]
He got his first television advertisement break in a jewelley advertisement with Kareena Kapoor. Later he appeared in other advertisements too.[2][6]
He made his television debut by appearing in the Episode 76 of Yeh Hai Aashiqui, an Indian television series that presented dramatization of love stories aired on Bindass. Later he portrayed the role of Bhuvan, the leader of handloom weavers on the television series ‘’Million Dollar Girl’’, which was televised by Channel V. Growing up in Hyderabad, he was not fluent in Hindi so he had to take Hindi diction classes to learn the language.[2][7]
In 2015, he won Mr India 2015 contest held on 23 July 2015 at Club Royalty in Mumbai, Maharashta. He also won two special awards at the contest, "Stay-On Mr Active" and "Provogue Personal Care Best Actor.[5][8][9][10][11] He will now represent India at the upcoming Mister World contest.[12]
