Hallo Berlin is a restaurant in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of New York City. The chain consists of two beer garden restaurants and a street cart. The chain serves authentic German beer and cuisine like frankfurters, sauerkraut, potato pancakes, red cabbage, spätzle, wursts and other foods.[1][2] Hallo Berlin's motto is: "New York's wurst restaurant."[3]

Hallo Berlin's larger NYC location is the 'Beer Hall' at 10th Avenue at 44th Street. The smaller restaurant at 9th Avenue and 51st Street has no garden, but has outside seating. There also has been a third branch, near Binghamton, New York. The restaurants were operated by Rolf Babiel until his death in October 2009,[4] and his wife and sons.

Hallo Berlin's pushcart is located on 54th Street and 5th Avenue in Manhattan. In 2004, New York magazine named it one of four "best power lunches" in the city.[5] It was also awarded the Vendy Award in 2005, ranking first among New York City's street food vendors.[6]
