Rolling Stones Concert in Lynn, Massachusetts

On June 24, 1966, the Rolling Stones rock band performed at Manning Bowl, in Lynn, Massachusetts, as the opening stop of The Rolling Stones American Tour 1966. The venue in Lynn was selected at the last minute, as the original concert location in Boston was suddenly unavailable and the show promoters had to find an emergency alternative. The show was most memorable for the ensuing riot and the Rolling stones (and audience) were teargassed by the police. In post-event quotes, the Stones vowed to never come back to Lynn.
