Rompetrol brand is associated with its long history of over 40 years, initially as a company representative of the Romanian oil and gas industry on international level, becoming later an international oil group with operations in 12 countries, known as The Rompetrol Group N.V.

In 2014, the Board of Directors [1] of the company passed a resolution whereby the The Rompetrol Group N.V. was renamed into KMG International N.V.
