Ron Cavenall

Ronnie Goodall "Ron" Cavenall (born April 30, 1959 in Beaumont, Texas) is a retired American basketball player. He played collegiately for Texas Southern University. He played for the New York Knicks (1984–85) and New Jersey Nets (1988–89) in the NBA for 58 games. He went to Charlton-Pollard High School in Beaumont, Texas. His playing height was often listed as 7’1”. His playing weight was usually listed between 230-235 pounds. He played the center position. He played for the Sydney Supersonics of the Australia NBL in 1983. He played for the Harlem Magicians, a basketball show team, before playing for the New York Knicks. He also played for the Washington Generals around this time who are the traditional opponents of the Harlem Globetrotters. He played for the Westchester Golden Apples of the USBL in 1986. He played for the Springfield Fame of the USBL in 1986. He played for the Wyoming Wildcatters of the CBA in 1987-1988. He played for the Cedar Rapids Silver Bullets of the CBA in 1989. He played for the Quad City Thunder of the CBA in 1989-1990. He played for the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the CBA in 1989-1990. He played for the Grand Rapid Hoops and Yakima SunKings of the CBA in 1990-1991. He played for the Capital Region Pontiacs of the CBA in 1992-1993. He played for the Columbus Horizon of the CBA in 1992-1993. He resides in Houston, Texas.
