Roop Durgapal (born in Almora, Uttarakhand) is an Indian television actress. She is best known for her role as Sanchi in the serial Balika Vadhu.

Biography

Roop Durgapal was born in Almora, Uttarakhand, India.[1] She earned a Bachelor of Technology degree[2] in Instrumentation and Control Engineering[3][4] at Graphic Era Institute of Technology in 2006,[3][5] and worked at Infosys before starting her career in acting.[6]

Durgapal played Sanchi in the serial Balika Vadhu from 2012[7] to 2015.[8][9] She has played characters in C.I.D., Babosa Mere Bhagwan, Shama,[10] and played Dari Dari Pari in the children's show Baal Veer.[7] In March 2015, she made a guest appearance as an ichchhadhari naagin, a mythical shapeshifting snake, in Akbar Birbal.[11] She has also appeared in television advertisements.[12]

Durgapal was nominated as "Most Tez Taraar Personality" in the 2013 Colors Golden Petal Awards.[13]
