Roop Nagar
Roop Nagar is the name of two localities in Delhi, India:
- in Delhi 110007, a prosperous residential district, about a kilometer and a half south-west of the Delhi metro station Vishwavidyalaya; It is right next to the very famous 'Kamla Nagar' market of North Delhi, also close by is the Delhi University, North Campus.
One of the known identities of the area is the Jain family.
Roopnagar has 8 blocks and includes a police station , fire station, 4 govt. secondary schools, 7 parks, and several bungalow houses. The place is a mix of many temples. Manka-meshwari temple is a famous Lordess Durga temple. Some others include Radha-Gobimd temple and a Digambar Jain temple along with a upashara. There are a number of PGs. There has been a surge in demand for them because of the nearness to the reputed Delhi University.
