Roosevelt (musician)

Roosevelt (born Marius Lauber, September 1990) is a singer, songwriter and producer from Cologne, Germany.[1] He is signed to Greco-Roman.[2][3]

Music career

Following on from 2013’s acclaimed debut EP 'Elliot',[4] Roosevelt released the double-A side 'Night Moves/Hold On' in 2015 on Greco-Roman[5] which continued a warm synth-pop, Balearic influenced sound. His debut album is due in 2016.[6]

He has remixed the likes of Glass Animals, Jax Jones, Truls, Sundara Karma, Luka Vasta and Kakkmaddafakka,[7] and on tour has supported Hot Chip,[8] Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs[9] and Crystal Fighters.[10]

Roosevelt has also had a successful DJ career in addition to touring live. Having started off as a resident DJ at Cologne’s Total Confusion party,[11] Roosevelt has since DJ'd at Fabric, Panorama Bar,[12] Boiler Room[13] and Social Club as well as at festivals around the world as part of the extended family of his UK-based label Greco-Roman.[14]
