Ropa vieja

Cuban dish of ropa vieja (shredded flank steak in a tomato sauce base), black beans, yellow rice, plantains and fried yuca with beer.

Ropa vieja, Spanish for "old clothes," is a Cuban dish consisting of stewed beef with vegetables. It originates from a Sephardi dish from the Middle Ages and is very popular in central and southern Spain. The Spanish version is dissimilar.

It is also associated with other Caribbean cuisines. [1]
