Rubén García Martínez (born 6 December 1981) is a Spanish footballer who plays for Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa as a central midfielder.

Club career

Born in O Barco de Valdeorras, Province of Ourense, García finished his youth career with Racing de Santander, and made his senior debuts with the reserves in the 2000–01 season, in Segunda División B. After a loan spell with Gimnástica de Torrelavega he returned to the Cantabrians, and on 19 July 2003 made his professional debut, coming on as a first-half substitute of a 0–1 home loss against FC Slovan Liberec for that year's UEFA Intertoto Cup.[1]

In the 2004 summer García joined Zamora CF, also on loan. Two years later he signed with SD Eibar, in the same predicament and still in the third level.[2]

In 2007 García was released by Racing, and continued his career in the same category, representing CD Puertollano,[3] Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa (two stints),[4][5] Real Oviedo,[6] Real Unión,[7] CD Lugo,[8] UD Logroñés,[9] UD Salamanca[10] and SD Noja.[11]
