Ruje Yasmin (Bengali: রূজী ইয়াসমীন; born 14 March 1988) is an English news editor who works for ITV Meridian.
Education and career
Yasmin was born in London, England.[1] She graduated with MA in Television Journalism at City University London,[2][3] where she got an National Union of Journalists (NUJ) scholarship. She has previous journalism experience from placements and freelance work at ITV national news, BBC London, Institute for War and Peace Reporting, CTVC and BBC Points West in Bristol.[1]
Yasmin was an ITV News trainee at ITV News West Country in the Bristol newsroom until April 2013,[1] moving from there to ITV News Meridian initially as a production journalist and then becoming the News Editor in 2014 for the South East service covering Kent, East Sussex and south Essex for the ITV Meridian sub-region.[4]
