Rumana subdistrict (Arabic: ناحية الرمانة)(Its name mean pomegranate in Arabic language) Iraqi border subdistrict located in west Al Anbar Governorate at the Iraqi-Syrian border, extended on the north bank of Euphrates. Its capital is the Town of Rumana. population roughly 8.900 inhabitants all of them Arabs Sunni Muslims belonging to Al-Bu Mahhal belonging to Al-Bu Mahhal tribe, a major tribe there in addition to other minor tribes. People earn a living by work in farming,fishing,small business,and employment. Rumana run by elected sub-district council and submayor. There is a Concrete bridge linking Rumana with Qaim and Al Ubaidi across Euphrates.
