Russel Metals Inc. (TSX: RUS) is one of the largest North American suppliers of metal products, with operations across Canada and the United States.[1]

The company was originally established in 1785 by John Russel ( a Scottish immigrant to Canada) as John Russel & Co. The company was formally incorporated in 1916 as Hugh Russel & Sons Ltd. The company started to expand into the United States in 1979,[2]
