Rusty Harris

Russell "Rusty" Harris is the President and CEO of MontaVista Software, an Embedded Linux vendor based in Santa Clara, California.

Education

Harris holds a BS degree in Accounting from Indiana University.

Documentum (1999-2002)

On July 23, 1999, Documentum named the then 44-year-old Harris VP of Worldwide Sales.[1]

BlueStar Solutions (2002-2004)

Beginning in 2002, Harris was executive vice president of sales and marketing at BlueStar Solutions, based in Cupertino, CA. BlueStar was in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) market.

ACS (2004-2006)

When BlueStar was acquired by Texas-based Affiliated Computer Services (ACS) on August 27, 2004 Harris became the managing director for their new Application Managed Services division.[2]

MontaVista (2006-present)

Harris joined MontaVista Software in 2006 as executive vice president of worldwide field operations. He quickly became popular at MontaVista for bringing record-breaking sales in 2006 and 2007.

February 18, 2008 MontaVista announced Harris as the President and CEO of MontaVista Software [3] when then-CEO Tom Kelly left MontaVista Software to be president and CEO of Epicor Software Corporation.
