Ruth Liptrot

Ruth Liptrot (born 1975) is an English television presenter, currently working for Five.

Biography

Born in Wigan, Greater Manchester, Liptrot studied Broadcast Journalism at Nottingham Trent University.[1]

Career

Liptrot started working as a newspaper reporter in Manchester in 1998, before moving to Liverpool based Channel One producing her own material as a video journalist. In 2000 she joined the launch team of BBC Three, as entertainment and arts reporter for Liquid News.[1]

In April 2006, she joined Five News as a reporter and co-presents It Pays to Watch! with Martin Lewis.[2][1]

Personal life

When she first moved to London in 2000, she shared a house with BBC Radio 1 reporter Catherine Burns. Liptrot now lives in West London with her husband Jon - costume wearing keyboardist in West London Covers band "The Flailing Pits".[3]
