Ryota Aoki (青木 良太 Aoki Ryōta, born 19 August 1984 in Takatsuki, Osaka) is a Japanese footballer.
Primarily considered a central defender, Aoki has proved extremely versatile and has been deployed as a left/right back, defensive midfielder at various spells in his career.
On 10 August 2013, Aoki joined J. League Division 2 club Roasso Kumamoto on a half-year loan.[2]
