S. J. Todd

S. J. Todd was a member of the Wisconsin State Senate.

Biography

Todd was born on January 19, 1821 in Preble, New York.[1] He moved to Beloit, Wisconsin in 1850. In 1853, Todd married Mary Hazard. They would have five children. He died on January 9, 1902.

Career

Todd represented the 17th District in the Senate during the 1867 and 1868 sessions.[2] He had been elected Mayor of Beloit in 1858. In addition, he was City Attorney and a member of the School Board of Beloit. A Republican, Todd was affiliated with the National Union Party.
