Siran Upendra Deraniyagala
Dr. Siran Upendra Deraniyagala (born 1942) was former Director-General of Archaeology, Sri Lanka (May 20, 2005). He is the son of Dr.Paul E. P. Deraniyagala. In 1968 S. U. Deraniyagala discovered ancient human burials in the Fa Hien Cave.[1]
Education
He received an MA at University of Cambridge, a postgraduate Diploma at the Institute of Archaeology, University of London and his PhD at Harvard University.[2]
