SCDA Architects is a multi-disciplinary architectural practice established in 1995 by Principal Soo K. Chan.[2] SCDA has a holistic approach to design, with services including architecture, interior design, landscape design, and master planning. The firm employs more than 120 professionals at its three offices in Singapore, Shanghai and New York.

SCDA’s portfolio of projects comprises residential towers, private houses, commercial and institutional clients, and hotels and resorts spanning Asia/Oceania, Africa, Europe and the U.S.
SCDA has recently completed SkyTerrace@Dawson, commissioned by the Singapore Housing Development Board,[3] and is currently designing three residential towers in New York: 118 E. 59th Street,[4] 515 Highline [5] and Soori High Line.[6]

In addition to its repertoire in residential and commercial projects, SCDA marked their inaugural foray into lifestyle and food & beverage through the firm’s affiliated Soori brand with its Alila Villas Soori resort & spa (Bali); Comptoir Soori, a wine bar in Singapore; and Soori High Line in NYC. Scheduled to open in 2016, Soori High Line embodies crafted luxury through SCDA's holistic design philosophy.[7]

SCDA was awarded the Royal Institute of British Architects International Prize for One KL in 2012 and the Lincoln Modern [8] in 2005. The firm was also the recipient of the SIA-Getz Architecture Prize for Emergent Architecture in Asia and nine The Chicago Athenaeum International Architecture Awards. SCDA was recognized as one of the Design Vanguard [9] firms, redefining the Face of Architecture by Architectural Record USA. Soo K. Chan was the recipient of the inaugural President’s Design Award, Singapore Designer of the Year.[10] He is a Fellow at the Singapore Institute of Architects, on the Panel of Designers for Poliform in Milan,[11] and a licensed architect in New York.
