SC Corvinul 2005 Hunedoara was a new club was founded in 2005. It was the spiritual continuation of the dissolved senior side FC Corvinul Hunedoara but with no legal relations with the old club. It folded in 2008 and FC Hunedoara took over the footballing traditions in the city.
