SEEK Learning is a wholly owned subsidiary of Australian and New Zealand employment website SEEK Ltd.,[1] and a part of SEEK Education.[2]
SEEK Learning is a course aggregator service which specialises in connecting adult Australians with career-related education (primarily online-based courses). SEEK Learning's primary service offering is matching prospective students with the course that best aligns with their career goals, financial situation and lifestyle commitments. SEEK Learning have assisted in enrolling 200,000[3] students since 2004 via their ‘Learning Consultants’; trained staff who counsel students about the education options available and which course would best suit them, and who assist with the course enrolment process.
History
Parent company, employment marketplace SEEK was founded in Melbourne in 1997 by brothers Andrew and Paul Bassat, and Matthew Rockman.
In 2004 SEEK Ltd acquired online training company SelfCert, which was renamed SEEK Learning.
In January 2011, Swinburne University of Technology announced that it would expand its online degree offerings through a $10 million joint venture with SEEK.[4] Initially called Swinburne Direct, the venture subsequently became known as Swinburne Online.[5]
Ownership and structure
SEEK Learning is owned in full by SEEK Limited. The business is overseen by a Board of Directors, and day-to-day management is undertaken by the trans-Tasman executive management team. as of 2014 the chairman was Neil Chatfield; the CEO was Andrew Bassat.

Providers and Courses
SEEK Learning are not an educator themselves; rather they have partnerships with over 20 Australian educational institutions, from universities to TAFE's and other vocational education providers. Together, these educators provide SEEK Learning (and SEEK Learning users) with access to over 300 online and on-campus courses across a range of industries including education, building and construction, design, IT, community services, business and accounting, health, and communications.
