SM City Cagayan de Oro is a shopping mall owned and operated by SM Prime Holdings, the largest mall operator in the Philippines. It is the first SM Supermall in Northern Mindanao. The mall, which is surrounded by subdivisions and condominiums, is located on Fr. Masterson Avenue Cor. Gran Via St., Pueblo de Oro Township, Uptown Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental.[1] It opened on November 15, 2002 with a total gross floor area of 87,000+ m2 on a 5.2 hectares land.

Physical details

The mall features anchors like SM Department Store, SM Supermarket and four SM Cinemas. It has service centers, specialty stores and restaurants. It also has indoor and outdoor parking spaces. The mall has undergone a major renovation which was finished by the first quarter of 2012.

Future plans

SM Prime Holdings President Hans Sy had disclosed that the site of the old Coca-Cola Plant along C.M.Recto Avenue cor. Pres. Osmeña Sts. will be developed into another SM mall within the city area.[2] The mall will be called SM CDO2 Premier[3] and will be the second SM Mall in Cagayan de Oro.
