Saadie Goukouni Weddeye (born 1980) is a Chadian activist. Her father, Goukouni Oueddei, was Chad's head of state in the early 1980s. She was appointed to the government as Minister of Social Action in 2013.
Life
Weddeye was born in Lagos in Nigeria in 1980. She was the youngest child of Goukouni Oueddei. After her father was ousted from power in 1982, she was brought up in France and Libya.[1]
In 2011, Weddeye returned to Chad, and on 26 January 2013 she was appointed to the government as Minister of Social Action, Family and National Solidarity.[1]
