Sadanandan R (born July 14, 1980) is an Indian film producer and businessman best known for his work in Malayalam cinema.

Personal life

Sadanandan was born in Kollengode, Palakkad Kerala.[1] He completed his schooling at Muslim Higher Secondary school Pudunagaram, Palakkad and completed his diploma in Mechanical Engineering at Government Polytechnic Palakkad.

Career

After completing his training at Wipro as a junior engineer, he joined Greaves cotton limited and established his first business venture in 2003. He worked as a project manager in Josts engineering company Ltd - Bullows division.

He started Vesta Engineering in Mumbai and then diversified into fields including oil and gas drilling and exploration, power generation, hospitality, real estate and as a film producer.

A company he started in 2003 later became Vesta group with 7 verticals, operating in 6 countries. Vesta primarily deals with solar power generators and windmills and holds major stakes in the Indian market for diesel power generators.

Lucsam Services Pvt Ltd, his second venture, started as a personnel contractor for drilling and exploration, later spreading to drilling contracting. It expanded into Indonesia and then to 6 other countries, including projects in the Middle East and South East Asia.

Lucsam Creations is a venture in entertainment/film production and distribution. It produced the successful 2011 Malayalam movie Salt N' Pepper, which was honoured with multiple award,s including the Kerala State Award for the Most Popular Movie of the year (2011).[2] He later produced Nidra, a highly critically acclaimed movie directed by Sidharth Bharatan, son of legendary Bharathan.

Awards and recognition

Salt N' Pepper won the 2011 most Popular Movie award .It also won awards and recognition under various other categories at the 2011 Asianet, Surya, Vanita, Mathrubhumi, Amritha [3] and Asia Vision Film Awards. It also won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Popular film. He won the iconic producer of the year from International Malayalam film Awards Dubai and more. His brand is not only popular for the result but also for its aesthetic value, quality, presentation, ideas, and marketing strategies.
