Sadiq-ur-Rahman Kidwai is an Indian writer,[1][2][3] academician and a former dean of the School of Languages, Jawaharlal Nehru University,[4][5][6] known for his scholarship in Urdu literature.[7] He is the secretary of the Ghalib Academy,[4] renowned educational and cultural institution in Delhi[8] and a member of the Goethe Society of India.[9][10] He was honored by the Government of India, in 2010, with the fourth highest Indian civilian award of Padma Shri.[11]
