Sadiq Fakir

Sadiq Fakir (Urdu: صادق فقیر Born on 20 March 1967 in Diplo, Pakistan[1]) was a renowned singer of Sindhi music. He belonged to the Manganhar tribe, and his father’s name was Faqir Faiz Muhammad Manganhar.[2] His early education was from Mithi University. He received musical training from his maternal uncle Hussain Fakir. He started his career as a singer from Radio Pakistan, a section of the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation. His postgraduate degree was in Sindhi literature. He also had several Sindhi music albums to his credit.[3] He died in a road accident on 26 Feb. 2015 in Saudi Arabia while he was on his way to perform Umrah in Mecca.[4]
