Sagar S (Kannada:ಸಾಗರ್ ಎಸ್) is a noted and an internationally reputed Indian Music Director. He is also a Kannada lyricist and an actor. He has composed music and penned lyrics for many jingles, albums, daily soaps, films, stage plays, dramas internationally and nationally. He has not only written for his own compositions but for other music directors as well. He has also judged many singing reality shows in Kannada that includes 'Fresh Voice of Karnataka' with Music Director Mano Murthy, 'Haadigaagi Haadu' and others. He has the credit for working in a record of 1500 recordings in his career.[1][2] He has acted in films like Saviganasu, Encounter, Parapancha and others. The recent song, written and composed by him, 'Hoge' from the film 'Nam Life Story' sung by Vijay Prakash has gone viral and has got great reviews. Its different lyrics and appealing tune has had the fans go crazy about the song.[3][4]

Early life

Sagar was born in Mysore. He entered the Industry as a lyricist and then became a music director. Sagar stayed in Mysore earlier and now he, along with his family is settled in Bengaluru.

Career

Sagar has never worked under a music director to become a lyricist or a music composer. He entered the Industry as an Independent and a solo lyricist and a music director. He has the credit of introducing many new singers, lyricists and instrumentalists to the Industry.

The Hoge Song

The film 'Nam Life Story', even before the shoot commenced, got a great boost from the making video of the song 'hoge' that was released on YouTube that went viral. The song got great reviews everywhere[5] Its very catchy tune and the lyrics by Sagar had the fans go crazy about the song.[6] The video that was released had many celebrities talk about the song. Celebrities including Senior South Indian Film Actor Avinash, Producer-Director Beesu Suresh, Senior Journalist and the chairman and Managing director of Public TV H R Ranganath, Actors Anirudh, Tharun Sudhir, Achyuth Kumar, Veena Bhat, Music Directors Praveen D Rao and Veer Samarth, Director Nandakishore, Singer Vani Harikrishna and Choreographer Imran Sardariya spoke about the song.[7] The song is sung by Indian Playback Singer Vijay Prakash who hails from Mysore, Karnataka who has sung many super hit songs for Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam films.
