Saholic is an Indian e-commerce company headquartered in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.[1] Part of the Spice Group, it was founded in 2010. Saholic is focused on online sales of gadgets, including mobiles, tablets, laptops, cameras, and accessories.[2][3] Later, it also started selling online recharges for mobile talk-time and DTH (Direct To Home) products. Saholic also provides the option of buying mobile theft insurance with newly bought mobiles.[4]

History

When the Spice Group launched Saholic in May 2011, Pankaj Jain was the founding CEO. In October 2012, Rajneesh Arora took over as the new CEO and he is heading the e-commerce startup ever since.

In October, 2012, Saholic started offering mobile and DTH recharge service.[5]

Funding

Till date, the funding for Saholic has been provided by the Spice Group.

Site features

Saholic started providing 'Buy Online, Pick up in store' feature in January 2013, wherein a customer can buy a gadget on Saholic.com, and then get the item from the nearest Spice HotSpot store.[6]

That same month of the year, Saholic also started the 'On-Time Guarantee feature', under which it pays the customer a gift voucher for every day of product delivery delay.[7]

In March 2013, Saholic started offering the option of buying mobile theft insurance, which gives the customer an option to buy mobile theft insurance for a nominal charge when he/she buys a mobile on Saholic.[8]

Saholic also allows customers the option of buying gadgets on easy monthly installments (3, 6, 9, 12 and 18 months - depending upon the credit-card issuing bank.) [9]
