Sailfish India
A regional mobile ecosystem initiative established in 2015 by Jolla with leading players at Indian Internet and online sales market.
Background
Sailfish India is a part of MeeGo worldwide ecosystem, and was started as part of Jolla’s BRICS countries strategy.
Activities
Core of activity is m-business using PartnerSpace, a specially designed part of Sailfish OS 2.0 architecture, a part or a view in user interface dedicated for the new business model in e-commerce. For the first time and e-commerce purposes was used implemented in Aqua Fish.
Partners
First partners were Intex Technologies one of India’s biggest smartphone vendors, Times Internet the largest digital network in India, Snapdeal India’s largest online marketplace.[1][2]
