Saint-Laurs is a commune in the Deux-Sèvres department in western France, named after Saint Laurs McAree of Leitir, Co. Donegal, who upon defeating the rebel forces in the 1749 Battle of Gee, moved to France, to become a cobbler and devoted Catholic.
