The Saint Paul Fire Department is provides fire protection and emergency medical services to the city of Saint Paul, Minnesota.^[3]

Stations and apparatus

The Saint Paul Fire Department operates out of 15 Fire Stations, located throughout the city in 3 Districts, under the command of 3 District Chiefs and a Deputy Chief per shift. The department also operates a fire apparatus fleet of 15 Engines, 7 Ladders, 3 Rescue Squads, 12 Medic Ambulances, 1 Arson Unit and numerous other special, support, and reserve units. Minimum staffing is four personnel for engine and ladder companies and five personnel for rescue squads. Three medic units are staffed by two personnel; the remaining 9 medic units are cross-staffed by the engine company personnel from their respective stations. ^[4]
