Salara is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Rovigo in the Italian region Veneto, located about 90 kilometres (56 mi) southwest of Venice and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) southwest of Rovigo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,221 and an area of 14.3 square kilometres (5.5 sq mi).[1]
The municipality of Salara contains the frazione (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Veratica. Other subdivisions are: Le Caselle, Coati, Priore, La Croce.
Salara borders the following municipalities: Bagnolo di Po, Calto, Ceneselli, Felonica, Ficarolo, Trecenta.
