Salih Mirzabeyoğlu (real name Salih İzzet Erdiş; born 1950, Erzincan) is a Turkish-Kurdish[1] fundamentalist with Sayyid[2][3][4][5] origin.He is the ideologue and alleged leader of the Great Eastern Islamic Raiders' Front (IBDA-C), a militant Islamist group present in Turkey.[6] In 1975, he and his friends published a political magazine Gölge (Shadow). He was arrested on 29 December 1998 for allegedly being the leader of Great Eastern Islamic Raiders' Front. He was sentenced to life imprisonment.[7] On July 23, 2014 he was released from prison, and on November 29, 2014 consulted with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.[8]
