Abu Salman Mohammad Abdullah (Bengali: আবু সালমান মোহাম্মাদ আব্দুল্লাহ) popularly known as RJ Salman[3][4] is a Bangladeshi Radio Jockey, writer, Actor and News Anchor.[5] He is currently working as a Radio Jockey with Radio Today.[6] He has been working at this station since September 2010 to till now. His first book Shopno Tomar RJ Hobar was published on 2014 Ekushey Book Fair.[7][8][9] and 2nd book Jibon Theke Neya Part-1 was published on Ekushey Book Fair (2015). In 2015, he received Bangladesh Cultural Reports Association (BCRA) Honors Awards for his outstanding contribution in the arena of radio.[10] Recently released his 3rd book Jibon Theke Neya Part-2 on 2016 Ekushey Book Fair.[11]

Early life and background

Salman was born on 24 February 1990 in Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Comilla Cantonment Bangladesh.

His father was a non-commissioned officer of Bangladesh Army. Now he is serving for a private organization. His mother is a Housewife. His brother is a Veterinary Surgeon and Sister is studying BBA under Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka.

In his academic career, he was a very brilliant student. He got GPA 5 both Secondary School Certificate and Higher Secondary School Certificate exam.[12] He completed BBA from the department of Finance. Currently he is studying MBA education under Institute of Business Administration of Dhaka University. He had got 9th merit position in the in the Secondary School Certificate Examination 2006 under the Board of Chittagong.[13]

Career

Salman started his career with 1st Bangladesh private radio station Radio Today 89.6 FM. He worked at different regional radio stations of Radio Today FM 89.6 including Dhaka, Chittagong, Khulna etc. Recently he has got the opportunity to perform a show named in his own name and that is Salman's show. This is the first time in Bangladeshi FM Industry that a Radio Jockey can start a show by his own name.[14] He also work with Bangladesh Television. He has got training under Bangladesh Betar, Voice of America, BBC and Media Corp, Singapore.[15]

Mir and Hanif Sanket is his favorite RJ & Host.[16]
