Salwa Idrissi Akhannouch
Salwa Idrissi Akhannouch is a Moroccan businesswoman, the founder and CEO of the Aksal Group.
Akhannouch inherited a fortune from her grandfather, Haj Ahmed Benlafkih, a businessman who dominated the Moroccan tea trade in the 1960s. The Aksal Group owns a 50% in Morocco Mall, Africa's largest shopping center, built at a cost of over $240 million in 2007.[1] Aksal also owns the sole franchise for several leading brands in Morocco, including Zara, Banana Republic, Pull & Bear and Gap.[2]
