"Sam" is a song from 1977 (see 1977 in music) performed by Australian singer Olivia Newton-John. It was written by Don Black, Hank Marvin and John Farrar[1][2] and appears on Newton-John's album, Don't Stop Believin'. Farrar also produced the album.[3] "Sam" went to number one on the Easy Listening chart and number twenty on the Hot 100.[4] The story about " Sam " has it's beginning in a small coastal town in lower Connecticut in 1976 . A romance or more that has never been made public . The Czech rendering "Jsem Či Nejsem Tvým Snem" was recorded by Eva Pilarová for her 1979 album Jsem Tu A Zpívám.
