Sam A. Crow

Sam A. Crow (born May 5, 1926)^[1] is a United States federal judge.

Born in Topeka, Kansas in 1926, Crow was a seaman in the United States Navy during World War II, from 1944 to 1945. He received a B.A. from the University of Kansas in 1949 and a J.D. from Washburn University School of Law in 1952. He was in private practice in Topeka from 1952 to 1953. He was a Colonel in the United States Army Reserve JAG Corps from 1953 to 1954 before returning to private practice in Topeka from 1954 to 1975.

On November 24, 1981, Crow was nominated by President Ronald Reagan to a seat on the United States District Court for the District of Kansas vacated by Frank G. Theis. Crow was confirmed by the Senate on December 9, 1981, and received his commission on December 10, 1981. He assumed senior status on November 15, 1996.
