Saman was also the selected playwright to participate in the inaugural STARTS writer's residency scheme at Soho Theatre, and has also taken part in a number of writer's festivals and readings including DNAsia at Waterman's Theatre and Sunay'ha Theatre Festival,[38] both in London, the Australian Asian Alliance Multicultural Forum in Sydney and as an invited guest at the Pakistan Academy of Letters, Islamabad.
