Sameer Dattatraya Meghe (born 12 Febryart 1978) is the 13th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and represents from Hingna.[1][2]

Sameer Meghe is son of former Indian National Congress MP, Datta Meghe.A member of the Indian National Congress, Mr. Meghe along with his father and brother Sagar Meghe, resigned the party and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in June, 2014.[3] Meghe was president of Nagpur District Indian Youth Congress.[4][5]

Sameer Meghe married to Vrinda. They have son Raghav & Daughter . Vrinda Meghe is Technocrat & Administrator has adapted herself to maintain the pace with rapidly changing technology. This basic requirement has to be understood and realized for overall development under her determined & motivated leadership.[10]

Political career

In 2011, elected president of Youth Congress from Nagpur Lok Sabha constituency polling almost 750 votes.[4]

In 2014, Elected as MLA of Maharashtra from Hingna by 23,158 Votes from NCP Leader & Former Cabinet Minister who is candidate Rameshchandra Gopikisan Bang.[11][12]
