Sandeep or Sundeep (Devanagari: सन्दीप् sandīp or संदीप् saṃdīp) is a common Indian given name. The name may refer to enlightenment: the word saṃdīpa in Sanskrit can mean "enlightened." It is also possible that the name is derived from Sāndīpani Muni, the guru of Krishna. It is primarily used by men and women from Hindu or Sikh & Christian backgrounds also .
